Col. MacGregor is "the other side of the story," as I gather are you.

The Iranian drones do appear to be cheap. The accounting provided by the Ukrainians indicated that they were mostly Kalibr and other airplane-launched missiles. Who you going to believe? Those that got through did some damage, though our power is back.

I have been corresponding with Ed since I reviewed "At Our Wits End." He knows my story.

With regard to the war, my view is simply one data point among 35 million. I write what I see on this blog and try to piece together the rest same as anybody else.

For instance, I just replied briefly to Billionaire's comment, which included a reference to Col. MacGregor, for whom a Russian victory has been just around the corner for nine months now. I am in no better position to assess his credibility than you are. Same as a lab experiment. Does it predict accurately?

It would be good to get you to be interviewed by some YouTubers like Dr Edward Dutton aka The Jolly Heretic or Mark Collett to give your views from down on the ground in the ukraine... it's almost impossible to work out what is happening here in the West

Reading Col. MacGregor's writings, he appears to be almost more pro-Russian than the Russians. On the invasion of Ukraine, he proposed that the Russian ambassor be summoned to the White House and be sternly told that Russia could 'only' have all of Ukraine up to the Dneiper river and no further. Which is a lot further than the Russians have ever actually got. Such an agreement would have effectively made the USA a belligerent party against Ukraine on behalf of Russia.

The man appears almost unbalanced in his pro-Russian fevour and has been predicting the imminent collapse of NATO. of the EU, of Western Europe generally, of USA interest in and upport of Ukraine and finally, the total destruction of the Ukrainian army, which he has repeatedly 'explained' as being on the point of total destruction. So far, he's been wrong on absolutely everything. I don't think we need take his opinions on Ukrainian air defences with any degree of seriousness.

"76 of their supposedly scarce rockets to KO our infrastructure again. This time we only knocked down 60 of them"

Unarmed, stripped down drones cost only a few thousand $$ ea. They send them in droves as decoys. That wasn't 76 rockets; it was decoy drones. That forces the radar defenses on, allowing them to target. They took out 4 radar sites near Polish border. Confirmed by Uke mod. Col MacGregor cites this as *possible* beginning of SEAD/DEAD.

Russia has been "running out of rockets" since March. Actually, until very recently, mfg & use was pretty equal. It may still be, although they've added Saturday into production.
