6:45 PM. We are hearing explosions again. Missiles. Not as many, not as near.

Gold and silver are blasting off. Silver at a multi-year high of $23.11/oz. Gold not far behind.

Thank you, Graham, for giving us your news. Nothing is truthful on mainstream media any longer, maybe it’s always been propaganda & I just didn’t notice!

I found you conclusion of the level of noice to bring concern - humours!

Curiously, the ruble has recovered a part of its losses. Not sure what is happening. Anticipation of a peace settlement or just random volitility in the market.

Hi Graham! Great posts!

How can anyone instill any kind of sense into the likes of Egyppius, in your opinion?

He probably reads too much from the Strategic Culture people. Still, the things that the Marine writes are pretty disturbing, my bet is that the people competent enough to do the training are off fighting. And apparently they're taking anyone with a pulse, where they ought to be restricting it to people with a couple of combat tours in Iraq or AFG or someplace - or Special Forces people or operators with private mercenary companies. Going up against an APC with an AK is suicide, it sounds like the guy wasn't even using cover, they should have given him an AT-4 or a panzerfaust, then he would have had a chance - again, prone or behind something. As Patton said "the object is not to die for your country, it's to make the other poor bastard die for his."

Ok, fair enough.

I find with some people, they’re completely up to speed with the exaggeration or outright fakery, but simply wont have it that there’s strong evidence of an international plot.

An international plot of what? Putin declared the demise of the USSR as the greatest tragedy of the 20th century, said that the Ukrainian nation doesn't exist, being a confused part of the Russian nation that must be brought into submission, and Ukraine incorporated back into Mother Russia. That was his swan song since 1997. No international plotting required to understand that the guy figured he needs to use this golden Covid opportunity to make his wet dreams come true NOW, as the time is ticking and he doesn't get any younger. The rest is history.

You can't know his mind, but the evidence more and more points your way. My opinion is changing.

As he has been rumbling about it spontaneously and profusely for decades on many an occasion, I think we may be certain where his mind is at. Same old. Brzezinski was correct, and Putin knows that too. Russia became an empire after it succeeded in incorporating Ukraine by the end of 17th century, more or less, still paying tribute as a vassal to the Crimean khan until 1700. After that it became a menace to Europe. Without Ukraine, or with an independent Ukraine on the map, it stops being such menace. Putin wants Russia to be a menace again. EU, NATO, US (Brandon) played along for decades too, paradoxically. They simply gave up on Ukraine, considering it too russified and infiltrated by Russian agents to ever come back from its zombie state in no man's land. So they didn't want to engage just to fail and make open enemies with Russia. In a way, they were correct in their assessment but for the marvelous job of nation building through 3 wars on Ukraine undertaken by Putin himself. Nothing builds and united a nation like a patriotic war for survival. We see that now. Had Putin taken a softer approach toward Ukraine, Ukraine would have been second Belorussia right now. But he was blinded by his personal hatred of Ukrainians and made stupid moves. He's forging a modern Ukraine as we speak.

The USSR and NKVD, which Putin so admires, were much more patient and careful in their gradual swallowing of Western Ukraine after 1939. They gave it 50 years to be gradually immersed and corrupted by the System. The total russification of Western Ukraine was supposed to start in the 1990s, according to their clock. And they would have succeeded but for a tiny snag which was the collapse of the USSR itself. Damned if you do, damned if you don't?

In any case, Putin's concept has been to not try to incorporate the Western Ukraine - this poison pill of Russian empire building - into the healthy body of the Russian nation and to give it away in pieces to its westward lying neighbours. Appeasing and bribing Europe and showing laudable "restraint". Orban still counting on that.

I think what Dr Yeadon is thinking of is the timing of the invasion - the pandemic narrative was collapsing, and there was this new crisis coming just in time - and it's a good diversion from this - https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2022/03/biden-considers-digital-dollar-heres-how-it-could-differ-from-regular-money/

Unless Putin thought it’s a good timing too. I am not sure he didn’t steal the limelight from the WEF agenda. We’ll see. Any delay in the latter may be fatal for it as more and more damning information and “vaccine” adverse events are coming to light. WEF seemed to be in a hurry. Klaus said “a narrow window of opportunity”. Putin slammed it shut, inadvertently.

“But may also be a tool for surveillance”? May? That’s the whole idea, why else?

This plot was that Ukraine falls in 3 days, the West will look the other way, Zelensky will flee to the US on Biden's invitation and it will be Crimea-2014 all over again on a much bigger scale. Didn't work out the way agreed upon between the esteemed high parties (Russia, EU, USA).

A much bigger plot was to make Ukraine give up nukes in 1990s in exchange for security guarantees from Russia, USA, and the UK - that one is the gift that will keep giving until all rogue regimes gain nukes, knowing full well that any security guarantees are not worth the paper they are written on, based on this precedence.
