Russia wouldn't need fraud for a referendum because Crimea was mostly made up of ethnic Russians
Australia and New Zealand are made up of ethnic English. They don't want to be part of the UK. They were happy as the Crimean Autonomous Republic, running their own show rather independently within Ukraine.
