Japan Before the 17th century, Japan was divided into 50-60 small feudal lords.

Even after the 17th century, the unified Tokugawa shogunate had spies in each country. For the rest of their lives, they blended into their small country and continued to send information to the shogunate occasionally secretly.

Europe is in a much harsher environment than Japan, so it's no wonder that Ukrainian spies are infiltrating Russia. The reverse is also possible. If I were a spy boss, I think I might have suppressed subversive activities until a more effective time.

Still the mess continues. Appears that changing commanders means little if the troops aren't motivated.

Pipeline repair seems quite inexpensive. The Russian want the West to beg first. not happening.

Russian budget now showing deficit. Korea and Iran might be expensive partners. Also illegal importing always costs more.

Good that Ukraine gets to attack launch points and supply depots inside Russia, however that must be done. intel sharing likely enables the effort.
