I'm under the weather for the past couple of days. It gives me time to think. And be grateful.
The kids picked up a summer cold, probably in kindergarten, and passed it to Oksana and me. She got over it quickly. I'm three days into it.
These diseases follow a very characteristic pattern with me. What starts out as probably a virus, hoarseness and a sore throat, almost invariably morphs into strep throat. I take a week of doxycycline and I'm better. Oksana, however, gets nervous about what antibiotics do to your got biome. The more I read, the more I agree with her.
I conceded this time I would put my care in her hands and see what happened. I am drinking an orange flavored cocktail of vitamins which I cannot believe has any therapeutic effect but won't hurt me. I am also glad to she is letting me take it easy, which I am sure does help. Moreover, I am following Peter McCullough's advice and rinsing my nose with Betadine a few times a day on the theory that whatever infection would enter my lungs would probably do so via my nasal passages. The theory may be far-fetched, but it doesn't seem to hurt. It is now Tuesday, and though a bit of a scratchy throat persists I am not feverish, and the bug has not gone anywhere. With luck it will go away, in which case my only liability will be a very smug wife. I think I can live with that.
I expect that most people, by the time they reach 80, have a fair idea which parts of their systems are most likely to fail. What will probably get them in the end. My weaknesses have been in my throat and my gut. I am pleased to say that the gastritis has not bothered me for about three weeks. I am being careful not to eat a large dinner or to eat close to bedtime, and I'm avoiding cakes and candies. Maybe that will hold it at bay. If I can learn how to beat the sore throat maybe I'm home free.
I had been planning to finish remaking the movie I did three months ago entitled "Blame evolution for our distress." The new version will be an improvement, but nobody seems to care. The old one has a magnificent total of 27 views between YouTube and Rumble. Its introduction explains why nobody is interested in blaming evolution. There are no votes or money in it for politicians. Liberals don't like the implications of evolution – that people evolve to be different. Most significantly, if we evolved into it, we have to evolve out of it. That involves the difficult and thankless work of raising children to be better than we are. It's a total nonstarter. For now, I will be content just to let the project sit on the shelf and do other things.
The falling off of friendships is a hazard of growing old. People retreat into their own worlds, by degrees lose command of their mental faculties, and ultimately die. A serious confounding factor in this day and age is woke. People of a progressive persuasion increasingly don't answer my calls and letters.
I recently posted a comment about a brother and sister I have known since the 1970s. He was one of the first to join my household when I bought my first house in 1976. Younger sister was just graduating from Delaware at the time. I lined up an interview for her with my employer, IBM, and she spent a career there. She was an attractive woman who always had a boyfriend of the kind who would never marry - an artist, writer or something like that. He is handsome enough but was perhaps too cerebral or choosy to marry.
My view is that their dreams remain unsatisfied at the end of their careers. She rose to lower management, was laterally arabesqued into some kind of a nothing position and given an early retirement. She had been careful with her money, owns a couple of houses and now spends her time with horses. They are more satisfying than human company.
She lived in our Bethesda neighborhood where she was friends with the goodly number of progressive single women who supported projects such as sustainable development, the prosecution of Slobodan Milošević, green energy and such.
He spent his career as an idealistic lawyer, looking for mechanisms to mediate rather than litigate conflicts. The last big project he took on was trying to get Seattle's progressive mayor and Black Lives Matter leaders to come together to stop tearing the town apart. What I read in the newspapers leads me to believe he wasn't very successful. There you have it – a single, aging, liberal lawyer surveying what has happened to Seattle how he spent his career and asking himself what might have been different. Or maybe not asking. The question may be too difficult. At any rate, not answering my letters prattling about my young, optimistic, totally nondiverse family.
One contact I was happy to lose was a shoestring relation who gave me no end of grief via his comments on this blog. He called me an anti-vaxxer, climate denier, Holocaust denier, anti-Semite, racist and all sorts of things. I, in return, just called him wrong. I’m not often driven to call people stupid or use off-color words.
He gave me a world of abuse for writing the truth as I saw it about my grown children. He could not get it through his head that I hadn't written anything at all about them until several years after they had definitively cut me off and were well into adulthood. Certainly nothing I wrote could have affected their tender psyches as they were growing up. Throughout our exchanges I would simply try to point out where he was wrong. It was a fruitless exercise.
I removed him from the distribution, and he finally stopped haranguing me a few months ago. Just for the hell of it I looked him up yesterday on Facebook. Totally predictable stuff. Eldest daughter, the only one within a sack of potatoes of being svelte, updated her profile picture in 2021 with the banner "Let's get vaccinated." Might have trouble with kids even if she wants them.
As a good progressive he claims that he doesn't care whatsoever if his three daughters are gay or straight, marry or have children, just as long as they are happy. My take is that having no such expectations will serve him well.
Thinking about vaccination led me back to Ed Dowd's writing about the Covid 19 vaccines. Dowd, as you remember, is the investor who saw striking patterns behind the anomalous numbers surrounding the Covid 19 episode. As a guy who made billions of dollars by noticing disparities which escaped other investors, he started to write about it. Most of you are familiar with his book "Cause Unknown": The Epidemic of Sudden Deaths in 2021 & 2022." His company, Phinance Technologies, has invested quite a bit in what they call "Humanity Projects."
In what they have titled the "Damage Project" Dowd's team examines the human cost of the Covid vaccines. Premature deaths, such as appear to have claimed my daughter Naomi back in February, are only the tip of the iceberg.
Dowd calculates only the damages in the United States. The United States has abundant statistics for comparison, from which one could readily extrapolate to the rest the developed world. His very conservative estimate is that the vaccines killed 330,000 people in the USA. Though that's fewer than 1/10 of 1% of those who got the jab, it is the headline statistic. He figures that 18% of the people who received the jab had some adverse reaction and 0.93% – 9.3 in 1000 – can make disability claims on the basis of their injuries. The remaining 82% have not yet experienced any adverse effects.
What you do not read elsewhere is that the milder reactions have far the greater economic impact.
It stands to reason, because there are simply more of them. Employee absenteeism is fairly easy to measure. Disability claims can be even more accurately measured.
They cautiously project where these statistics will go in the future. It is unlikely that many people who have joined the disability rolls will be taken off. They optimistically project that people on disability are able to work half time. It is only a guess, and a percentage that is bound to diminish over time. Many of the 18% who experienced adverse reactions will recover, but conversely, many of the 82% who have not yet reported them may in the future. The best guess would be that those numbers will also get worse.
Turning this back to the people who no longer wish to stay in touch with me, I cannot but wonder how many of them have experienced adverse reactions, and how many are likely to in the future. What is likely, of course, is that I will never hear about them. If they already don't want to talk to me, they surely will not want to say anything that would confirm my suspicions about the vaccines.
As these thoughts traverse my mind, I tell myself I have better things to do. Be assured, I am doing them! Eddie has come in four times today with questions about the 100 math problems that he is supposed to work on by the end of the summer. He has good questions. They justify my decision to invest the time to figure them out for myself, so I can answer his questions quickly and confidently.
As I lay in bed I have my own project, which is to systematically learn Ukrainian. I found a list of 1000 top vocabulary words to help Oksana learn English. It occurred to me that I might learn the same words in Ukrainian. I translated them and am using this down time to study them.
That's the word from Lake WeBeGone, where the good-looking woman is taking Marianna home from kindergarten as Eddie and I recover from this mild cold. With our fingers crossed that it doesn't get worse.
I have been following Dr. John Campbell lately as he investigates Covid issues. A top notch researcher in Denmark, Dr. Vibeke Manniche, produced a study with her team of vaccine injuries in Denmark which can be extrapolated to some degree to the other western countries stupid enough to force this harm on their own citizens. In a very brief summary, it appears that the most serious injuries happened with the first batches of the vaccines, and it appears that Pfizer and others changed the vaccine formula to make it less harmful or it has been suggested that they simply provide placebo instead of actual vaccines. If you search YouTube, you can find several interviews with Dr. Campbell and Dr. Manniche.
I think this would partly explain why some batches of the injectable product were severely harmful, while others were not. Ed Dowd has suggested that some batches of the product were mishandled, not kept at the right severely cold temperature, and thus were rendered ineffective. It's been clear for some time that there have been spikes in the death rate and it is connected to different batches of the vaccines.
On a short note, I have visited lately two old friends, both of whom got vaccinated because of the "love" of their wives and children. Now, both are dying, one in hospice, the other nearly there. Several of my friends' families have died. My aunt complains that since she got vaccinated she is not the same. She described various ailments the last time I saw her, all minor but which make her life less than pleasant.
Finally, I have a friend who practices a kind of physical therapy. She has more than 50 patients over the course of a month, some whom she sees several times a month, and about 25% of those vaccinated now suffer from some kind of "problem." As Graham showed above with statistics, so far about a quarter of those vaccinated shows signs of damage. It hurts people in their everyday functioning, and it reduces their quality of life. It's not enough to get on a vaccine injured report, but it is enough to make them miserable. That's a lot of people who are not as functional as they were before inoculation.
What is inexcusable, beyond the lies of safe and effective, is that these people are largely being ignored. If the government and the drug companies came forward and said they made a mistake, it would start the process of healing. In fact, Dr. Campbell says that denial is actually killing people, because they don't know what to do or even what signs and symptoms to look for in the vaccine injured. In Graham's daughter's case, for example, if she had been fitted with a pacemaker, she probably would not have died. The spike protein disrupts the electrical system of the heart and causes it to stop working, and people who are asleep don't know that they are going to die. There are so many reports these days of people who "died suddenly," sometimes in their sleep, sometimes swimming, sometimes driving. With a pacemaker, their heart would not stop working and they would survive, but because of the denial of harm by government, media, and the Pharma companies, they are not given the assistance that they need.
We have a responsibility to those who were lied to about the safety of the vaccines, and we need to offer them every help that we can. I am certain that doctors knowing the facts would find ways to treat people who have been harmed. I know some of my colleagues from medical school are helping those who were harmed and they are developing a protocol of healing. We need to get on with it and help as many people as possible.
I have had success defeating that nasal/throat-eventually-lungs virus using oil of oregano capsules and grapefruit seed extract. I also take a lot of acerola Vitamin C and some zinc on a regular basis. Have not been ill with a cold or flu since the mid' 90s. Not a touch of covid although I continued with my normal routine for the duration. Just a suggestion and good luck.
