States of Emergency states it well. Eddie venturing forth, and the girls growing by the hour

I finished Kees van der Pijl book on the Covid crisis, States of Emergency, last night. Every new book on the topic covers old ground, but there was quite a bit here that is useful.
First to start with van der Pijl's background. He's written about a dozen political books. A lot having to do with the tensions between Russia and the West. This includes the next one I will read, on the MH17 downing in 2014. Here are his observations on Covid.
Every aspect of the Covid crisis has deep roots. The research into gain of function and vaccines and countermeasures goes back at least four decades. It's an international effort. The United States is sponsoring research all over the world. In particular, there are 11 biological research points in Ukraine and quite a few and Georgia. They're researching diseases such as Marburg, Ebola, Zika and any other type that may be involved in bioterrorism or biowarfare.
The research is all intertwined. It's how to invent bioweapons, countermeasures, and detection of biological terror events. Hard to separate what research is legitimate and what ought to be banned. More than that, since it's an international project, the researchers have been easily able to move funding to wherever they could do as they pleased. When Obama shut down funding for bioterror research in the United States, Anthony Fauci and others simply took the funding with Peter Daszak elsewhere, in this case Wuhan. China is certainly not unique in being US-supported. Bioterror is an international undertaking in which countries are both collaborators and adversaries.
Van der Pijl holds the position that government is always a matter of the elites against the people. The elites exercise their power to maintain stability in their countries. They did not want the people to rise up against them. This is become more and more difficult to prevent. The lot of the common man had not been getting better for a couple of decades leading up to 2008. The financial collapse 2008 exacerbated the distance between the haves and the have-nots. The rebellion recently took the form of Brexit, Trump and the rise of le Pen in France. The elites were concerned. Among other things, they needed to prevent Trump's reelection.
Van der Pijl groups certain of the elites into his own category, calling them Intelligence-IT-media interests. The three are tightly woven together. Just for instance, observe how the big IT companies own big media and employ an exorbitant number of former officials from the intelligence community. They cooperate to hold down the common man. They have done this largely by controlling the messaging and making sure that there was always some panic. Biological warfare has always been an interest of the intelligence community and their allies in the military. Fear of disease is a very useful form of terror.
Van der Pijl has a lot to say about the war on terror that started with the twin towers attack of 9/11. He doesn't go into the conspiracy theories, only indicating that he believes there is substance to them. This can be said as well for the Kennedy assassinations of the 60s. Things are not as they seem.
We know this to have been true of the Iraq war. There were no weapons of mass destruction. That conflict was even more obviously engineered. So, the war on terror, anthrax attacks in United States, terror bombing and so on were effective. They frightened the population and made them feel a need for strong government measures. Governments have enacted legislation such as the Patriot Act that restricted civil liberties in the name of fighting whatever enemy, in this case terror. That's point number one, which is been long established. Gustave le Bon said so a century and more ago. Keeping them scared is a good way to control a population.
Van der Pijl observes that the financial system had been teetering. The money printing was already out of control. It appeared to be on the brink of collapse in 2019. It was thus a very opportune time for the emergence of Covid in order to have a new terror and a new excuse for shutting down civil society.
The measures were all in place. Vaccine formulations were on standby. The World Health Organization had received the power to authorize emergency production of vaccines. Pharmaceutical companies had the plant, equipment and expertise. The tools were in place to combat a perceived bio threat, such as the pandemic, and had been agreed upon by all members of the WHO – just about every country.
The establishment had had exercises such as Event 201 in October 2019, which he describes. It was sponsored by Johns Hopkins, funded by the Rockefellers for a century and with generous gifts from Gates and Bloomberg more recently. He describes several other such rehearsals going back as early as 2003. Some, such as SPARS, he seems to overlook. Once again, all the pieces were in place. All that they needed was a triggering event.
Van der Pijl hypothesizes that they had identified the necessary bioengineered virus. The record shows that they had rehearsed the countermeasures they needed to take when the truth started to come out and vaccine skeptics emerged. They knew how the media would need to react in order to quell rumors such as the one that the virus had escaped from a lab and was engineered. Psychologists had worked out the need for the incremental nature of the restrictions, starting with "two weeks to slow the spread." They knew what they were doing.
Van der Pijl says that the origins of the virus are not as clear as we would like to believe. Work was being done in both Fort Dietrich, Maryland and Wuhan. There was quite a bit of traffic back-and-forth, and a large American contingent at the World Military Games in Wuhan in October 2019. There was a lot of illness among the US team, due to which they wound up placing a dismal 35th among the competitors. The Chinese have resolutely rejected claims that it was a Chinese virus. They would of course lie, but in this case they could be telling the truth.
The effects of the vaccine on the body are a topic that van der Pijl does not cover as well. Why are the vaccines so toxic? The motive of depopulation, suggested by many other writers, does not figure into this book. To van der Pijl it is very much a control issue.
One of the stronger points in the book is his discussion of the nano chips that are included in biological injections - he does not call them vaccines. Van der Pijl's discussion is theoretical, relying on patent filings, past publications and statements by people like Bill Gates. It does not align exactly with the recent analyses of the contents of the vials, but it does corroborate the objective of including nanoparticles in the injections.
Van der Pijl contends nanoparticles are included in the injection to allow a sensor to determine whether a person has been vaccinated and to uniquely identify that person. His contention is that the interested parties have patents on processes for using the human body as a battery, providing electric power to nano devices. While he repeats the observation that people become magnetized at the site of their injections, he describes a different mechanism for getting information out of the body. He proposes that infrared scanners will be able to pick up light signals emanating through the skin. Simply by their presence, those signals will indicate a person's vaccination status. He proposes that quantum dots included in the injections will provide unique identification.
Van der Pijl also mentions 5G wireless, though as a means of potentially activating the injected nanoparticles, rather than to identify where person is. As far as figuring out where people are, he does not indicate that the transmitted signals would be strong enough to reach 5G or Bluetooth receivers.
He perceives the long-term threat to be control through these implanted nanotechnologies. The people in charge might be able to control the whole population of the earth by knowing who they are and what they're up to simply via scanners. Although he puts this in the realm of science fiction, and I would agree with him on this one, the people who control communications might be able to send signals to act on our bodies in some way.
Van der Pijl does not address the depopulation theory. He does not go into the measurable, significant adverse effects. He does have a long section on the different manufacturers and the commonalities and uniquenesses of their shots. One thing that I had not read elsewhere is that the Chinese vaccines, unlike all of the others, are not gene based. According to Van der Pijl they are more like traditional flu vaccines. In that sense, they should not have the same negative effects on health. We do note that China does not allow the use of non-Chinese vaccines.
If Van der Pijl is right, although he does not say as much, we might expect that the Chinese would not suffer the same lingering effects due to the spike proteins as others. So just to repeat, his conclusion is that we need to be alert to government control over the long term. He is concerned that the balance of power between the people and the government is slipping more toward government. I recommend this book as a good background on the on the players involved, the mechanisms, the motives and one man's guess as to what it all means. The book once again is States of Emergency.
In other news, I have more up-to-date information on Grandpa Sasha's condition. We got a new doctor for him. It turns out that a cardiologist and circulation specialist is a friend of Vadim, whom I mentioned in connection with our dacha couple of days ago. In his opinion amputation will not be necessary. Nevertheless, Sasha spends his days in constant pain.
He has been complaining about his legs hurting for a long time. I have had sitting on my shelf since 2007 30 oxycodone pills that were prescribed to me for pain. As I have written, I don't trust the pharmaceutical industry and didn't want to take them. I simply hung onto them.
Sasha is a guy whose chance of long-term addiction seem nil and who's in pain now. I offered them to Grandmother Nadia last night. I had first researched on the Internet to see if there were any dangers associated with 15-year-old medications. I wouldn't have worried about it, but I knew she would, so I decided to check in advance. No, the only downside they would cite is that they might not work. But there is no danger. So, Grandmother Nadia took the bottle and will offer it to Sasha. High-powered pain medications such as OxyContin are not generally available here in Ukraine. It's a medically pretty conservative place.
Eddie is getting pulled into the world of affairs. Vadim wants him to be active in the beekeeping project and he is enthusiastic. Yesterday afternoon Eddie and I met with Victoria and Artur. I mentioned a while ago that Oksana and I had discussed how we would get help with Eddie with regard to Ukrainian. My simple observation was that any college student should know enough grammar to help him. We don't need to have a teacher come in, curriculum and educational materials in hand, to tell us what to do. All we need is help with the simple stuff grammar, style and so on and almost anybody with a college education can probably do that.
Here's the deal Eddie and I struck yesterday. They will go over Eddie's handwritten summary of a piece of Ukrainian literature, correcting it for spelling, grammar and style. After that we will sit around for an hour's conversation so they can practice English. I extended the offer that I often make in Toastmasters, that if they send me something either in written form or by MP3, I will be glad to dictate it the way I would write it and return the recognized text and an MP3 of my voice. I don't think that they grasp the concept, but if we enjoy working together, we can hit it again. There is a good chance will be able to get them into Toastmasters.
Eddie has a deadline of Thursday for his next piece of writing. Just imposing deadlines, and making them stick, will be a great step forward.
Zoriana demands every day that I play dominoes with her. She's getting better in every aspect of the game, and I am tickled to death that she loves it is much as she does. I will note once again that Zoriana is becoming a lot more pleasant. Her smile is much more often right side up than upside down. Marianna, on the other hand, stopped being the sweet, docile thing she was two months ago and is becoming quite demanding herself. No shrinking violets here.
That's the news from Lake WeBeGone, where the strong men worked out in tandem on our two exercise bicycles yesterday, the good-looking women find the mirrors more attractive every day, and the children's development is visible day by day.
Thanks for your excellent book report. I woke up to it all last July, sadly it was after I had received two Moderna shots. Now I am trying to prepare for what the future may hold and I pray for all of us.
