The kids have been sniffling all winter. Oksana has been sick off and on. They had a middling dry cough and felt subpar. Whatever it is got passed back and forth among us.
It affected me differently. A cold had me down for a week in late October. Coughs and sneezes were only moderate, but I felt weak. Oksana jumped into action. Seldom reluctant to let me carry a disproportionate share of the household workload, she insisted that I stay home and take it easy. She took the kids to school and kindergarten and plied me with all manner of tonics, lotions, balms and infusions to make it go away. For three days I felt really weak and was glad to stay in bed with a book.
Whereas my usual winter colds last two or three weeks, that one went away after a week. A good thing, too, because Oksana was dragging for most of November.
Monday afternoon, by the time I was ready to exercise, I was feeling a bit iffy again. I let it pass. I felt weak after taking the kids to school Tuesday morning. Oksana informed me she would pick them up. By evening I was pretty much out of it. And she took care of them for the rest of the week.
I had interrupted reading “Albion’s Seed” to read the newly released “The Indoctrinated Brain.” However, lacking the mental power to do a proper review I was content to simply go back and finish the first. Lying in bed reading is the most profitable way to spend a cold.

I still have a bit of a cough and a sniffle, but I’m not feeling sick. I don’t resist when Oksana insists that I should not go outside even to feed the cats. As I always do, I reflect on how my recent reading applies to my life.
The Indoctrinated Brain is mostly about Covid and the so-called vaccines. Author Michael Nehls is an expert in the way the brain functions. His most useful chapter describes the mechanics of the phenomenon that many sources have been claiming – the Covid injections affect your ability to think.
I was skeptical. How could that be? True, when we are sick – as I have been this week – we get a brain fog and we are not as sharp as usual. But how could it be ongoing? Nehls’ second chapter describes the process in some detail.
The recollection of a new experience remains in the frontal lobe of the brain, not stored anywhere. It is fleeting. If you are going upstairs to get a sweater and a kid interrupts to ask an algebra question, you can arrive at the top of the stairs wondering why you were going.
Memories are transferred short-term from the frontal lobe to the hippocampus, where they are available to be analyzed, combined, and tagged with time and place. The hippocampus is able to store them throughout the day.
Memories in the hippocampus are sorted out during REM sleep at night. Most of them are erased, freeing up the hippocampus for new experience or recall from long-term memory. The ones that are worth saving go into the neocortex. And quite specifically, they go in in the form of new neurons that have been generated by the dentate gyrus. Whereas most neurons in the brain survive for your lifetime, these memory neurons are continually generated anew.
Preserving long-term memories is thus a three stage affair that depends on the generation of new neurons. The spike protein in the gene therapy products splits along the by now familiar furin cleavage into fragments small enough to pass through the blood-brain barrier where they gum up the production of new neurons.
Nehls says that healthy adults – which he claims are now the exception - maintain the same volume of hippocampus and can thus generate the same number of new memory neurons throughout their life. It depends on good diet, exercise, and continually using one’s brain. Per his diagram below, Nehls contends that the level drops off for most adults, and that the Covid (coronary) jabs only make it worse.
The thing I find impressive in this diagram is that it portrays not trends but real measurements. The volume of the hippocampus normally falls by half when a person has reached my age, three quarters if vaccinated. Surely Nehls himself would admit that these are mere approximations, but the magnitudes suggest a strong need for further investigation.
Nehls’ analysis of the effects of the gene therapy injections is far broader, but this bit sums up the argument that is used by Naomi Wolf and others to the effect that they destroy our ability to think. Wolf’s claim is that injected individuals who were formally skeptical and willing to entertain argument become unreceptive to new information and stick to their dogmas.
Nehls, like other writers, is getting increasingly bold in making claims with regard to the who what and why of the whole Covid episode, and especially the jabs. He has good things to say about Matthias Desmet. Wonderful things about vitamin D, and surprisingly, absolutely nothing about ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine. But more of this in a review.
Wolf, who wrote Nehls’ introduction, has posted this article entitled The Biggest Hoax in Medicine – outside of Covid. It’s about all of those prescription medicines. Did you know that America accounts for half the prescriptions written in the world? And that our life expectancy has fallen by three years over the last three?
Paul Marik, the author, is one of a handful of doctors who is prominent enough, sufficiently financially secure, and close enough to retirement to speak his mind. America has always treasured people with the independence and the guts to speak truth to power. Power has lately been getting the upper hand, but these stubborn retrograde independent thinkers keep popping up to frustrate them.
America’s best-selling drugs target cholesterol, which is increasingly shown to have almost no correlation with heart disease. It is a manufactured problem. I took Prozac which is likewise only very tenuously associated with reducing depression, and strongly correlated with suicide, mass shootings and the like. I’d recommend skimming through the article just to look at the graphs.

Albion’s Seed covers the four great migrations from the British Isles to North America. The author places them in sequence: Puritans 1630-49, then the Cavaliers to Virginia 1650-75, Mormons to the Delaware Valley 1675-1715, and then the border people to Appalachia and points south 1716-1770.
I trace my descent to all but the Virginians, and I recognize in my grandparents the characteristics that describe the frames of mind of each. This will be the topic of my next blog.
Thanks, Graham. Interesting.
I remember listening to Gregg Braden discuss how our brain is like hardware and doesn't actually 'hold' information, which he says abides in our personal field and when needed is 'called' in and the brain then processes it. Intuitively that made sense to me, though admittedly I haven't looked more fully into this. Obviously damaged hardware, can't run software well. But because of its plasticity there are many ways to improve brain health by creating new pathways.
We still know so little about the brain and its interaction with our other ways of knowing, (the gut, the heart) so I prefer an open, optimistic view. (I read a book several years ago - The Brain That Changes Itself - which I found truly inspiring.)
Hope you feel fit as a fiddle real soon!
In 2020, I saw several posts saying that after being infected with Sarscov2, some people would become blured for several months, unlike a common cold. At that time, there was also an article published in MSM. (1) Later, in 2021, a paper was published showing that both Spike protein from natural infection and LNP (pseudo-mRNA) itself from vaccination pass through the brain-blood barrier. (This is natural since LNP itself was developed to treat diseases in the brain.)
②In 2022, Dr. Stefany Seneff pointed out the existence of GxxxG-motif (gene arrangement) that acts as a prion in pseudo-mRNA. (CJD disease) (Actually, mad cow disease around 1996 took several years to die, but there is a clinical paper that shows that the disease that appears to be caused by this vaccination progresses extremely quickly, dying within a few months.)
③Although it varies depending on the scholar, it is estimated that the amount of Spike protein produced by inoculation is several hundred to 10,000 times the amount produced by natural infection.
Incidentally, in my delusion, I think that public health doctors have experienced a drastic decline in intelligence after being vaccinated? ?
