Last night, I read it was 3:00AM, I heard about 30 loud explosions. A Russian attack. This morning I see that it was air, land and sea launched missiles followed by another fleet of Iranian Shahid drones launched by Russia. We are getting quite good at shooting them down. Missile attacks may have been cost-effective for Russia early in the war, but no longer.
It leads me to ponder a point I have not seen anybody make. Russia continues to have money to throw at this war. What they lack seems to be places where they can put the money to use effectively. More troops aren't going to work – they don't have the infrastructure or the military bases to train them. They can't spend much more money on building tanks, artillery and armor - they are constrained by production capacity and a lack of raw materials. Few will sell them artillery shells. They cannot build airplanes without imported parts.
It may be that they have no better use for money than to spend it on futile missile attacks. If so, bring them on!
Events are forcing two new concepts into my vocabulary, "limited hang out" and "controlled opposition." Commenters here cryptically post links, expecting me to understand what they are about and be convinced. I don’t, and I’m not. I'm going to offer my own probably naïve analysis here.
I think that a "limited hang out" is when you confess to something minor in order to conceal a more significant addenda. In this case you might claim that Covid 19 was a matter of big Pharma being greedy, when the real agenda was democide.
I think that “controlled opposition” would be parties who spread the limited hang outs. In the case of Covid, Robert Malone favors the Mass Formation explanation by Mattias Desmet. Desmet in turn draws on the 19th century Frenchman Gustave le Bon writing about the madness of crowds. The idea is that it is human nature to get swept up in this madness of calling people baby killers for refusing to get vaccinated.
Peter and Ginger Breggins, Naomi Wolf and others are looking for justice. They would support Dr. David Martin, Reiner Fuellmich and others who have accumulated vast amounts of evidence to the effect that the people behind the Covid program knew exactly what they were doing and did it with malevolent intent.
This brings us into the realm of criminal liability. Should there be a new set of Nürnberg trials, who should go to the gallows, who to prison, and who let off? How culpable are the people who worked for big Pharma and the research Biolabs? People like Jordon Trishton, captured on the project Veritas video. He knew what was going on and continued to participate for the sake of a paycheck.
As I expressed in a response to Joel Hay's comment here, does it matter to me? How does it affect how I lead my life?
My view is that:
(1) As has been made abundantly clear, including in many of the presentations in the International Covid Summit this week, the many of the effects of the Covid "vaccines" on health and fertility are permanent. Birth rates throughout Europe are down something like 10% and falling. Excess mortality is up and rising. I conclude that the damage is done. If there was malevolent intent, they have been successful.
(2) The democide has been going on for a long time, decades before Covid, and nobody has seemed to be terribly upset about that fact. See my video entitled Depopulation.
My conclusion is that it is a matter of evolution. We have evolved to place the interests of the individual above those of society. We shield individuals whose actions work against the interest of society, whether shoplifting from Walmart or Gates' solar geoengineering plan to dim the sun by seeding the atmosphere with reflective particles.
(3) Religion, which we have mostly abandoned, puts the interests of society ahead of those of the individual. Religion requires disciplines, the biggest of which is raising children in the parents' culture and defending the society, with arms if necessary, against external enemies. It requires altruistic support of other members of one's society.
Children and the future of society are not generally a part of today's discussion – it is all about the rights and interests of this generation of adults versus this generation of billionaires and other elites.
As long as altruism is no longer expected or rewarded, and the interests of the individual remain primary, people will always arise to take advantage of, gain control over their fellow man. My task is to raise children with a sense of obligation to their society and place them in a society where it will be reciprocated.
Bottom line: Identifying and punishing the guilty in this Covid debacle is not a question that occupies me. Therefore, neither do limited hangouts or controlled opposition.
In this vein, the Third International Covid Summit proceedings are available online. This year it is dominated by Covid skeptics. Commensurate with that assessment, it looks like they were thin on travel funds for their speakers, funds for translation and funds for the website. Among other things, I could not find the agenda online. I am including it at the bottom of this blog.
Fertility being my interest, I listened to the presentations by Tritto and Prego on the effects of the Covid "vaccinations" on first male, then female fertility in the second half hour of part two. Absolutely devastating. You have to listen closely to follow Tritto's English, but it all makes sense. Prego speaks in very clear Spanish; I was proud of the fact that I know enough both Spanish and about the science to understand just about everything she said.
On this gloomy topic, Dr. John Campbell posts this video on the ongoing excess deaths in Great Britain and elsewhere in Europe. They vary between 10 and 25% of the pre-Covid numbers. The Substack blogs that most reliably follow these statistics are Joel Smalley and Matthew Crawford. Going back to the topic above, Crawford seems to be crosswise with Steve Kirsch with regard to whether Steve (1) is controlled opposition and (2) knows what he is talking about with regard to Bitcoin and other investments. I allow myself to be aware of the difference of opinion but continue to read and value both men.
That's the news from Lake WeBeGone, where the strong man has put off making a movie for far too long. Time to get on with it. The good-looking woman is bicycling with Marianna. Keeping the distaff members of the household happy makes it an extremely good investment.

Honestly, I am shocked at the incompetence of the Russian war machine which seems to be more of a go-cart than a tank. Putin failed, and that was clear to me in the second week of the war. I am reminded constantly now of the wise assessment of Putin by his KGB bosses when he didn't get promoted to KGB General in the 80s. He took unreasonable risks. Looking back at Putin's career, it's obviously been a bluff the entire time, and even Putin didn't realize that he was bluffing.
The long term impact of the failure of the Russian invasion is yet to be seen, but let's start with the litany of disasters facing Russia. One, they have lost their customer base for oil and gas. They had a cushy set up with Europe which is now gone. They still have a market for oil because there is always a market for oil, but Russian revenue from oil and gas is tanking. There no longer is a market for Russian weapons, since it's obvious that they are vastly inferior to US and European weapon systems. Russian influence in the near abroad, the former territories of the Soviet Union, is waning. The fearsome reputation of Russians and their intimidation of other nations is over. Macron now says that Russia is a vassal state to China, and that China now dominates Russia. There is truth to this observation. The smartest and best people in Russia have left and do not plan to go back. This brain drain will harm Russia to its core and will lead to a long term demise of Russia as a world power. Putin's only recourse is to draft more and more Russian men to die in the fields of Ukraine, thus ensuring that the Russian ethnicity will die out with them, since they will not father children when they're dead.
Right now, Putin is doing the only thing that he can do which is to attack Ukraine with missiles, but these attacks are becoming less and less effective. Ukraine is learning and building a nation as they fight in this war. Putin has claimed that Ukraine does not exist and that Ukrainians are not a people. Looks like he was wrong. This war is destroying Russia, and Ukraine and the Ukrainian identity has been revived and is now stronger than ever. As Russia wanes, Ukraine rises.
The one thing that Putin never considered was how much the world would help Ukraine. As an example, in my small way, I have hosted Ukrainians in my apartment, I kept in touch with many Ukrainian friends, and helped when I could. Those Ukrainians are helping other Ukrainians. My Ukrainian daughter brings Ukrainian refugees home. I feed them, I let them stay the night, I give them money, small amounts to help them on their way. Those of us who love Ukraine are making small efforts to help; no one is inactive. No one says no. The other day I passed along documents to a German volunteer who has been transporting aid to the front to help those in need. He has come to love Ukraine so he wants to become a permanent resident. Like many others, I seek ways to help. This is how Putin will be defeated, small gestures by the faceless and nameless, one small step at a time.
Слава Україні. Слава справжнім героям, щодня гинуть на фронті.
Hello, Graham,
Your Point Three gets to the heart of the matter.
Raising children in the the parents' culture (and that of all their generations past) is the point, especially if that culture has developed through dint of the effort of countless forebears into a high civilization with great achievements that have benefited all mankind, such as that of the West.
For reasons I cannot understand at all, our so-called elites want to not only destroy this civilization but deny its achievements and erase it from the memory of its own heirs.
My parents and the culture and society they grew up in enabled them to pass on to me with little effort that civilization so I could understand, appreciate and contribute to as I was able. But now, against the full might of government, academia, media, economic incentive and high social opprobrium, I must pass on that civilization to my children, knowing that if I succeed in doing so, I may make them unfit to survive in the new world that is being forced into existence. So I don't know if I am doing the right thing or not. My parents don't know, either, nor does my husband, although he is more confident that this storm will pass, even though it may take, as he says, a few swift kicks in the ass to send it to the garbage dump of history.
Anyway, Graham, may you and your family stay safe. You and they are an inspiration to we who sometimes despair even though we face nowhere near the challenges you and yours face every day.
God bless!
