Graham, I love reading you because along with being a good writer, you are a curious and constant learner, and are motivated by a desire for the Truth.
I have not read too many of the books that you cite in your blogs, but I came to the conclusion that Covid was BS and they (the established order) were lying to us about everything. They lie about Climate change, they lie about vaccines, they lie about the war in Ukraine. It's all lies, and they lie about the stock market. The S&P is valued way above any historical value, but the heightened value is only in about seven stocks. I was reading an article recently which shows that the rest of the S&P (minus the big 7) is stagnant and not performing very well. So, the market itself is not hyper valued, only the top 7 stocks, like Amazon, Tesla, Google, et al. It's like this: auto companies are no longer making cars, they are making surveillance devices which move you around instead of you carrying your phone around. The auto companies make more money selling your data than they do making cars.
I read but I choose my own reading. Occasionally, I read a recommended book, but usually I want to follow my own path. I go where my interests go. In regards to this blog, I am far more interested in your life in Ukraine and your new children than I am in your book reviews. There is only so much time in life. It is the personal details and your regular account of life in a country at war that is fascinating. It doesn't have to be dramatic.
Two weeks ago, my daughter's uncle was killed at the front. He would have been my brother-in-law if I had married his sister, but I didn't know him well. Another good man killed in a pointless war. A month ago, my daughter's iPhone was stolen, three weeks ago her great-grandmother who I adore, died from a stroke, and her uncle was killed at the front. This is life. This is what absorbs my attention.
Like ISIS, the left is self-destructing. They are eating their young. Nobody is pure enough. They must purge all those who lack purity. Like Robspierre, the leader of the Committee for Public Safety, who instituted the Reign of Terror in the French Revolution, they tore each other apart until Napoleon appeared on the scene and swept them all away to take on the entirety of Europe. We are in the midst of a revolution of sorts. Meanwhile, life goes on and we try to do our best to live good lives without doing harm. We should all take the Hippocratic Oath: First, do no harm.
When I owned several businesses, a salesrep called me. He wanted to schedule a time to meet when I had free time. I said, when I have free time, I am not here.
Haven't followed you in a while and I am glad I picked this one to read. I am not that interested in the world of finance but I am VERY interested in what's going on in your adopted country along with other geopolitical upheaval elsewhere. I also follow the people you linked about the covid debacle. My two youngest sons are 21 and 18 and have a public education in Columbus, Ohio. One of my jobs right now as a father is to reverse the indoctrination they have been subjected to by there "education" and what they follow on the interested. My youngest son gets his covid info from people like Peter Hotez. My older son dates a girl who's parents are illegal Mexican immigrants. While I would be the applying for a job with ICE he would be standing on the corner with woke protesters about ICE, Palestine, global warming, blah blah blah. Neither of them are readers like myself but they do follow lots of people online to get their facts about these issues. You seem like a very honest man of integrity and I really enjoyed this post. Godspeed.
I had no luck trying to deprogram my three kids after Bethesda public schools. Their lives were wrecks even before my daughter died in peak mRNA time and my other daughter and son cut me off.
I enjoy your presentation s. I do follow some links so I appreciate your researching them. This article seems to reflect a notion of disappointment about your efforts. Perhaps justified in that some comments really are cruel (and often crude), glad you don’t pass along some of your “friendly” emails.

I’ve gained a new appreciation of how many “conspiracy theories” are anything but. We’ve been lied to for so long it’s hard to know what to believe. I try to go with the science, but it’s been so corrupted that it’s hard unless you have some knowledge of the field.
Speaking of environmental issues, Olena got a notification that the fields surrounding us are to be used for the disposal of raw sewage. Apparently, TPTB were given 1,5 Billion to build a sewage treatment plant, which was stolen. Now a a few thousand dollars are being spent to lay pipes into the fields, where tons of raw sewage will be dumped each day.
This will create an environmental disaster for our village and the surrounding areas. She says that the community has only until November 6 to register complaints about it.
Feel free to offer suggestions. I am forwarding the pertinent links to the EU Environmental Agency.
Barbara, I listen to all sides. I use my judgment, my broad reading in science to judge whether an argument hangs together. Whether it makes sense.
Markets are the harshest judge of what is true. The markets have concluded that Pfizer and Moderna are not what they were claimed to be. Share prices are down between 80 and 90 percent from their highs. Windmill manufacturers are down more than half. Ditto solar manufacturers. Major manufacturers are backing away from electric cars.
Markets have no morality, but in the long term they are pretty good truth detectors. There is a financial angle to most of my opinions. Ask yourself if the markets think I'm wrong.

I'm enjoying Naomi Wolf's book. But the Wolff and QTR pieces are YouTube. When you have a quiet moment, just watcch.

How can you be in a science denial position as for climat change, vaccines, COVID…and still expect us to take you seriously?
The overwhelming scientific evidence is against your theses.
I mean, in the whole world.
I have personally better to do as to study false, unscientific “evidence”of science denials.
This might explain the reticence of those who just like me think it’s not worthwhile to engage in serious discussion with such persons.
